The original painting "The Pink Zone" is part of my series of mixed-media paintings, "The Seattle I Remember." Each painting in this series depicts a beloved old Seattle gathering spot. The Pink Zone was a piercing shop at Broadway & East John Street that sold Pride-themed jewelry, clothing, and more. I got my nose pierced there on my 18th birthday!
I created the original painting in 2017 with beeswax, oil paint, graphite, and salvaged materials: old maps, pieces of antique mail, and other found collage elements. The original painting has sold.
This is a high-quality Giclee print, professionally printed with pigmented inks on Somerset Velvet rag paper, which has a pleasing, matte finish. There is a ½” border around the image.
