Piecora's Pizza - Print

from $30.00

The original painting is titled "Piecora’s New York Pizza" and is part of my series of mixed-media paintings, "The Seattle I Remember." Each painting in this series depicts a beloved old Seattle establishment. Piecora’s was a very well-loved pizza joint on Capitol Hill from 1982 to 2014. The Stranger captured the essence of the place in a tribute to the place: “Perhaps because of all the kids and families and scraggly bands on break from Chop Suey, Piecora's was filled with a spirit of deep casualness, energized by an obsessive stream of classic rock records played loud and in their entirety.”

I created the original painting in 2021 with beeswax, oil paint, graphite, and salvaged materials: old maps, pieces of antique book pages, and other found and salvaged collage elements. The original painting has sold.

This is a high-quality Giclee print of an original painting,  professionally printed with pigmented inks on Somerset Velvet rag paper, which has a pleasing, matte finish.
