This is a print of my original painting titled "On 15th Video." It’s part of my series of mixed-media paintings, "The Seattle I Remember." Each painting in this series depicts a beloved old Seattle gathering spot. On 15th Video was the last video rental shop on Capitol Hill, located on the bottom floor of a century-old firehouse on the corner of E. Harrison St & 15th Ave E. The staff were passionate about film and always ready to recommend your next movie. RIP small, independent movie rental shops!
I created the original painting in 2017 with beeswax, oil paint, graphite, and salvaged materials: old maps, pieces of antique mail, and other found and salvaged collage elements. The original painting has sold.
