The original painting "MacPherson's Fruit & Produce" is part of my series of mixed-media paintings, "The Seattle I Remember." Each painting in this series depicts a beloved old Seattle gathering spot.

MacPherson's Fruit & Produce has been a beloved institution on Beacon Hill for over 40 years. They temporarily closed in October 2023 due to rising costs and the owner’s wish to retire. When they closed, we had no idea if they would reopen or not. My family and I live just a few blocks from MacPherson’s and we were quite sad and worried! That’s when I painted this piece. Thankfully, a former manager of the store stepped in and took ownership of the business, and they reopened in March of 2024.

I created the original painting in 2023 with beeswax, oil paint, graphite, and salvaged materials: old maps, antique handwritten letters, and other found and salvaged collage elements. The original painting is available for sale here.

This is a high-quality Giclee print, professionally printed with pigmented inks on Somerset Velvet rag paper, which has a pleasing, matte finish. There is a ½” border around the image.
