The original painting "Hana Restaurant" and is part of my series of mixed-media paintings, "The Seattle I Remember." Each painting in this series depicts a beloved old Seattle establishment.

Hana was an affordable, delicious Japanese restaurant on Broadway. It was run by the sweetest people who always asked me about my baby even though they only met him a couple times. They had a huge menu and the walls were covered with posters for local shows and events. Hana opened in the 1980s and closed in 2020.

I created the original painting in 2024 with beeswax, oil paint, graphite, and salvaged materials: old maps, pieces of antique mail, and other found and salvaged collage elements. The original painting has sold.

This is a high-quality Giclee print of an original painting, professionally printed with pigmented inks on Somerset Velvet rag paper, which has a pleasing, matte finish. There is a ½” border around the image, handwritten title in the lower left corner, and signature in the bottom right corner.
