So many stories and layered histories are witnessed by these rooftops and laundry lines.
This is a high-quality, professionally printed fine art print of an original mixed-media encaustic painting titled "Always Remember This Place."
I created the original painting in 2009 using beeswax, oil paint, graphite, and salvaged materials: old maps, sheet music, ticket stubs, remnants of my Spanish lessons, stamps, and photocopy transfers of photographs I took in Mexico and Guatemala. This piece was inspired by time I spent there, studying Spanish and learning about indigenous struggles for justice & autonomy in their communities. It is filled with personal collage elements that are very dear to me.
The original painting has sold.
Size Options:
8” x 10” - $30
11” x 14” - $40
