Here and Now: New Acquisitions for the King County Public Art Collection

My painting of C.C. Attle’s original location was selected by 4Culture’s Here and Now: Portable Artwork Selection in 2026, and is now part of the King County Public Art Collection. I am honored to have my work included in this collection alongside many other amazing artists! You can read more about the purchase here.

C.C. Attle’s is a a long standing gay bar in Seattle. This painting depicts its iconic original location on 15th Ave. & E. Madison St., where it lived from 1991-2010. The original location was demolished in 2011 when the Bullitt Foundation built their new headquarters on that corner. C.C. Attle’s relocated to 1701 E Olive Way and are still open!

I created the original painting in 2017 with beeswax, oil paint, graphite, and salvaged materials: old maps, pieces of antique mail, and other found and salvaged collage elements. Prints of the painting are available here.
