Bailey Coy Books - Independent Bookstore

This is a high quality Giclee print of an original painting. The original painting is titled "Bailey Coy Books" and is part of my series of mixed-media paintings, "The Capitol Hill I Remember." Each painting in this series depicts a beloved old Capitol Hill establishment that has since been replaced or forced to move by higher end businesses in this rapidly changing neighborhood. Capitol Hill is a neighborhood in Seattle that has been drastically impacted by gentrification. Bailey Coy Books was at 414 Broadway East from 1983-2009. Long live independent bookstores!

The original painting is 20" x 14.5" x 3". I created the original painting in 2017 using beeswax, oil paint, graphite, and salvaged materials: old maps, pieces of antique mail, and other found and salvaged collage elements from my very cherished personal collection.

The original painting is available for sale for $650; please contact me if interested.
